On the last day of the 43^rd World Chess Olympiad, at Batumi Sports palace’s exhibition space the presentation of the books about ECU’s President Zurab Azmaiparasvhili was held.

Book series (2 books), named “From Georgia to Europe” is the summary of Zurab Azmaiparashvili’s career path: the first book is about Zurab Azmaiparashvili’s career, the second book is about European chess.

The book, filled with illustrations, is authored by International Grandmaster in Chess Compositions, 2-time World Champion in creating etudes, Davit Gurgenidze.

Zurab Azmaiparashvili leads the European Chess Union since 2014. On October 3 he was chosen for this position for the second time. Through different periods of time he was the Vice-President of Georgian Chess Federation, Co-President of Georgian Chess Federation, the Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia. He has been awarded with Vakhtan Gorgasali’s III degree award and the Medal of Honor.
